did anyone ever have Zillow post their house for almost a million more than it is listed at?

My house is listed at $749,000 and Zillow has it listed at $1,600,000. Where do the "facts" come from to Zillow? Don't they have anyone hired to check them?  I feel as though someone put this on Zillow without my knowledge to slow down the sale of my house and possibly sell other homes on our street. MLS #07780027 should show as 620 Washington at  $749M. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it.It is a blatant and glaring error. What does anyone else think? Betts

At the moment your house isn't showing for sale from an agent, but simply a "make me move" price.   I'd contact your agent to see what is going on.

Well first I have to say congratulation on your 1.6m dollar house!!! It's like winning the Zillow lottery. :) To answer your question though, yes I have seen this type of error before. It doesn't happen very often, but it does happen. It won't hurt your sale so I would not lobby to change it since some buyers will think that they have struck pure gold when they see the Zesitmate.

You can flag the house with the yellow "edit" pencil under you main house photo to let Zillow know about the error. They will look into it. Zillow recently revamped their algorythm so some areas are still a little wonky.
