Some of the banks pre market these homes on places like Zillow. Wellls Fargo tends to do this. The home I am currently purchasing for my family was like that, it was on Zillow for almost two months before it was officially listed. However, if that is the case, it will show that is where it is feeding from.

I agree with these other agents. The foreclosed homes are not listed until the third party 'mortgage servicer' sends the file to the listing agent. Most info for listings will be poor or inaccurate before then.

There are also homes that can be found on hudhomestore.com which is a site for homes forclosed with FHA loans. Though most homes there will eventually be listed, there are still some there unlisted. You will need an agent to help you gain access and receive more info on these properties. Hope this helps! Best of luck!

As soon as the Seller (the party defaulting) hires a listing agent, it will end up in the MLS possibly as a short sale.

Foreclosure listings (which Zillow imports from Foreclosure.com) come from courthouse filings by the lender. That does not mean the Seller is ready to sell (hence no MLS). It's tough to buy these properties unless you have a knowledgable agent and/or attorney guiding you.

It's probably a pre-foreclosure that a third party has posted which has not yet been listed by a real estate broker.  Sometimes these 'foreclosure' listings have not actually foreclosed; just defaulted by the homeowner.  These sites automatically post 'defaulted' properties, which may or may not foreclose. If the homeowner is able to pay the amount that's past due, the listing may take up to a month to be removed.

I would recommend working with a local real estate agent that can send you the latest foreclosure listings in your area.

I agree, foreclosure.com is more often wrong than right it seems.  Your best source of accurate info would be a local agent or you can keep an eye out for it to be added to the MLS on HAR.com.

That listing was provided by foreclosure.com which is notoriously bad about accurate and/or updated listings. If your agent can't find it on MLS it is probably not listed for sale.
