termoli, a notice of default (NOD) is public record, but it doesn't mean the homeowner will go into foreclosure. If they bring the loan current, there will not be a trustee sale. Realty-Track shows NODs, but they don't take into account whether the loan has been brought back to current. That could be what you are seeing. If you want to email me the address, I can look it up for you.

410 oak ridge dr, redwood city ca 94062, thank you Marci
There is something very strange going on there. According to public records, there was a gift deed recorded on 5/30/06, but the loan is in somebody else's name. The somebody else had an NOD filed in late July, which means it should become an Notice of Trustee Sale at the end of this month if they don't bring the loan current.

Marci,
can I e-mail you directly?

termoli, click on my name and my profile will pop up. Press the contact me button and it will send me an email.
If they don't bring the loan current, a Notice of Trustee sale will be recorded around the 20th of October. If they still don't bring it current within 5 days of the sale, the property will become bank owned (because nobody buys at Trustee Sales anymore).

Marci,
Is it possible for me to find out if that house goes back to the bank?
If yes, how?
grazie

I'll keep checking the list I get every week. The NOT should be filed soon if they don't bring it current. If I see it, I'll shoot it off to you.

termoli, not last week. I'll get the new list tomorrow. I think the drop dead date was the 20th, so if they didn't pay it, it should be on tomorrow's list. I'll keep you posted.

Marci I just got an Foreclosure Property Alert? from realty track and that property shows up now as Bank Owned...I'm missing something? or Its just another advrtise?
Ok, I finally cracked the code of the San Mateo County website. LOL The NOT was filed on 10/23, so the sale will be at least three weeks from then. Realty Trak must have some kind of instant calendar or something to send that kind of message. I guess we now know how accurate they are. :)

Grazie tante....keep me posted..I can't crak an egg/nut imagine a code...ha ha ha
That is the most non-user friendly site I have been on. The Contra Costa Recorders site is so easy to find something.

Marci! you're on the clock!! I've been lurking on and off today in between the insanity! Boy, the market is certainly picking up in Brentwood. We've been slammed....woohoo!
I noticed things are slowly starting to move finally. It's been so dead for so long. I'm looking forward to some of these actually closing to get them off the list.

Is there such thing as seeing the foreclosures for free in Maryland anywhere besides the classifieds in the newspaper? All the websites want a credit card number which I will not give but I'm looking in a specific area and 2 houses were listed there. One has been sold and the other doesn't say. I'd really like to know more about it.
Homeflip, check with a title company and/or agent in your area.
