Worked with Provident Funding for 4.5 months to secure a new build mortgage. Closing date was known from the start. On the day of closing, 1.5 hours before the appointed time, Provident called asking for more information. Faxed the info and they told us they would not get around to processing it until the following Monday. Monday came; nothing from Provident. By Wednesday we still had heard nothing. Quit Provident and had to find another lender. Almost lost our new home because of the delays in closing. Run as fast as you can from Provident.

Provident Funding was dirty company that got a lof money from people who aapplied for Modification Loan. Get away from them.

I do not know that company, but you might be able to get some opinions from complaints board here or a rating or reviews from your local BBB here.
No one can get you a loan modification that you cannot get yourself. You can get free help from Hope Now here or community organizations like NACA here. Hope it helps.

I haven't even had luck with these guys on a simple refinance. This is one of (more than) a few lenders on my list to never to do business with. I wish you all the best, though!
