has crime in Hudson gone thru the roof, and Hicks Rd & State Rd 52 area gone 2 the dogs? any truth?

Have elderly family there, and would like to help out if necessary. Need some honest, un-biased answers from someone with nothing to lose.

Hi aMarika.

You can check this website which shows you the latest subdivision activity courtesy of the Pasco Sheriff's office:

http://www.pascosheriff.com/webapps/cadweb3.pgm

This will give you the numbers that speak volumes.

Hope this helps.

Don't know about Hick's Rd, but there is a mess at 19 & 52.  The USA market attracts all sorts of low-lifes.  The police seem to be in that area just about every day.

for example, check this out

I can't say that "crime has gone thro the roof", but there has been a noticable increase in petty crime.

People visiting went out to thier car only to find it vandalized.  A neighbor had his house 'tagged' (painted with graffiti).  Another neighbor's garden ornament gone.

I have not seen a surge in home break-ins, car-jackings, or other serious crimes - but I also believe that the local authorities understate the figures.
