This site here has the frost dates by city that might giove you an idea. You can start your garden early if you start seedling inside or use a cold frame to protect seedlings form the last frost. Here is link to a MI garden club. They are really nice folks, they have a message board to ask questions and lots of good local gardening resources and info. I have one similar to this in my area and it has been really helpful. Happy gardening!
