By the way, I used to post a different answer; but Zillow told me to stop posting that as it was encouraging people to try to game the system, which was creating bad and misleading data.

There are 6 really easy ways to remove your home from Zillow:

1) Move out of the United States, thus having a home in an area that Zillow doesn't cover.

2) Hire a house mover and have them pick up your home, and move it elsewhere (like out of the country).

3)  Burn your house down.... then, even though the images will still be on MicroSoft Bing and Google Maps, and hundreds of other places, it would no longer be "your house", thus your house would no longer be on the website.

4)  Give your house to a friend or relative... then it would no longer be "your house", but who ever you gave it to...

5) Move into a commercial building (your office or work...)  Zillow only provides public record data for ownership residential units and some rental housing units.  It does not try to track commercial properties, even though that is also usually public records information and can be found on many other websites.

6) move under a public freeway bridge, or in to military barracks, assisted living facility...  (Zillow doesn't track public spaces, government property nor group living quarters).

I suspect you cannot have it removed as long as it is part of public records..  If you are selling, it is to your advantage to have a listing posted on Zillow.  I work the Pequannock area & do find that people looking for Pequannock/Pompton Plains do look on Zillow.

Unfortunately I don't jest.  As long as the government agencies release the data as "public data", websites and other companies will use it.  So., consumers will need to take action where they can if they don't want it disseminated.  (I am not a Zillow employee).

Probably most effective would be to go to your county assessor's office and ask what actions you can take to make your home's data private
