Moderator, why did you remove the link in my post below that would lead the person asking the question to the exact place where they can search for a home in Carmel, Indiana that has an in-ground swimming pool?

Yet, you leave a link to REALTOR.com. Why?

Zillow has been "beta testing" a new "free form" search for about a month now.  There is no documentation nor instructions as they want to get the bugs out before making it "public".  The search criterion presently goes in the normal address search bar on the homes search page.

Try typing in: Carmel IN swimming
39 results.

you can also try substituting "swimming" with "heated" but that will bring up jacuzzi's as well, and there are only 20 results for that search.  Or you could try "inground".  4 results.

The free-form search is supposed to allow phrases, and Boolean logic (and's and or's) but without instructions, it is a bit difficult to use presently.  And if the listing agent didn't put this information in the description, it may not be found.  Zillow presently has difficulty searching the info that is in the table under "more facts".  This may eventually get fixed, but for now, many of these additional data fields cannot be searched easily on this site.  And for some reason, swimming pool does not seem to have a data field in the "more facts", "other facts" section, (but hot-tub does?).

If you try the word "ground" it brings up 34 results in Carmel.

If you would like to search yourself, you can use my [link removed by moderator]. Open the feature section of the search and check swimming pool. It will return all the homes that have swimming pools.

As others have also indicated, you can have an agent look on the BLC/MLS and program your search to include inground pools.

A real estate agent will gladly set you up on an automated search with your specified criteria (pool, min lot size, etc).  When updates hit the market (new listings, listing goes into escrow, etc), you are emailed an update.  Its an easy way to keep an eye on the market.

I agree with the previous post.  I Realtor.com I think might have a way to search for a pool.  I know that I can search for pools specifically through the MLS system here in Indy.  So your best bet might be to contact an agent as stated above.  They'll be able to do the work for you and forward properties meeting your criteria.

Hope this helps

Zillow doesn't offer searches based on amenities like a swimming pool.  The only major real estate search site that I'm aware of that does is www.Realtor.com .  You should also look in to the possibility of contacting a real estate agent in your local area to help you with your search.  Chances are you are going to need one to help you with the buying process once you've found a home that you are interested in, so you might as well establish a relationship with one now.  That way you have plenty of time to find one you are comfortable with, not just get stuck with whoever answers the phone the day you happen to call the office.

Best of luck
