You can obtain this information at the town tax assessors office. My town has a tax assessors database I can access at my home computer. Google your city with the words tax assessors database, as you may be able to get the database from home and search the subject property.

Only problem with looking for rates as Laura mentioned is that a rate only tells you one part of what you need to know. You need to know the assessed value to determine the actual annual tax for the property.

The most sure-fire way is to go to your county, city, etc... courthouse and pull the tax records.  The internet and a professional Realtor is the fastest way to get this information.

If the property is listed most times that information can be found in the listing or you may need to speak with some one in the assessors office of the city the property is located in.
