Unfortunately, if the property is not showing for sale yet the bank is holding the home for a period of time until they decide they are ready to sell. I have found quite a few myself, however, the bank will not deal with a buyer direct, when they are ready they designate a Realtor to represent them in the sale of that home. One of the things that can be tedious is there really is no designated time frame. It can be one week from the time they acquire the home back in their name through foreclosure or it can take years. My advice is if you are ready to buy now, start looking for a home that is already for sale because if you wait for a bank to put that home on the market you could be waiting a while. Sincerely, Mary Dover

The best thing you can do is contact a Realtor who specializes in foreclosures and has a solid working relationship with attorneys who also specialize in negotiating foreclosures.
