Sometimes agents want to put a listing on Hold.  If they've spent a great deal of money on marketing, holding open houses and bringing in possible buyers.  You need to talk to your agent.  What would be your reason for cancelling?  That's the question.

All you have to do is contact whom ever you are working with and let them know you wish to cancell your listing. Then just have them fill out the change the status form.

Good luck
