Please hop off your "all short sales are fraud" stick for just a minute. If you sincerely think that all short sales and foreclosures are fraud then I think you might need a vacation here. No buyer is going to get their purchased foreclosure or short sale house taken back so they do not need to stress about it as long as it goes through the accepted title company process.

If you really want to be involved in the mortgage fraud then by all means you should seek out a real estate agent.  My only question is why would you want to be an accessory to a crime (lender fraud)?

Anytime you want to find out more information about a property, contact a local agent.  They should be able to provide the details you desire.

Your best bet is to contact a local agent.  In addition to MLS information a good foreclosure agent will not when a property is distressed and about to come up for sale.

Hi Kathy,

In Zillow look under the HOMES TAB for foreclosures. I would also recommend talking to a local real estate agent. They would be able to get you more information on the foreclosures in the your area.

Good Luck

On Zillow, we only show some of the information on foreclosure listings which are fed to us mostly by our partner foreclosure.com

On those listings, you'll see links over to foreclosure.com, where you can buy a subscription to their service which has more information.

I agree.  Contact a real estate agent to help you navigate thru the foreclosed home inventory.

Contact an agent.  I know that sounds like an answer that would come from a Realtor.  But honestly you will find the best advice from an agent and they will be able to guide you to forclosures available in your area.
Thanks
