90roadster,

We are a little confused by your question.  Please clarify on how you would like to be alerted.  Can you also explain how the email alert is worthless?

90roadster, In my opinion the mortgage rate monitor is not accurate as it represents the combination of rates/fee structures being quoted through the site for all the varying loan requests being entered by borrowers.

Best suggestion would be to place a loan request through Zillow, pick a lender to work with from the quotes you receive and monitor the rates based on your own unique loan sceanrio.
