Generally, the best "search engine" for local properties is the town hall assessors office.  The information you desire is a public record.
Some towns have links from the assessors department to on line property apprasial services like Patriot Properties and Vision Appraisal.
Others need a physical visit to the Assessors office.   I have found most departments to be helpful.  Just be sure to verify hours of operation before making the trip.
If you are working with a realtor, they can provide data on properties of interest, as well as determining fair market value opinions.
Do not hesitate to contact local realtors and select one that suits you!
