You can contact a local realtor (or 2 or 3) for a free market analysis.  That is the least expensive way to do it.  I would only take this step if you were aactually thinking of selling your home.  if you are refinancing, you will probably have an appraisal done by the bank.  Best of luck

You could hire a certified appraiser for about $350.00 and get an accurate estimate on what a bank would loan a buyer to purchase your home. There are several considerations used when estimating the value of a property. Value depends on various conditions and what a buyer is willing to pay for your home. Value could also be considered for insurance purposes to repair or replace your home or for investment income. It depends on what "value" definition you are looking for.

You can follow the local news paper in the classified news section and see what other properties in your area have sold for. You will want to compare your home with those that have sold. Your home should be similar to those that have sold. This will give u a good idea as to the value of your home. If you are thinking of selling your home but are not sure if it would be financially reasonable to do so you could contact a real estate agent to give u a comparative market analysis of your home. Just some friendly Realtor advice.
                     Hope it helps Mike
