My home is listed at 30.00 a sq ft less than my next door neighbor.
How does one explain that!

The data generally shown are public record data. All available on a multitude of sources including the city/town assessors office, previous MLS (Multiple Listing Service) listings, Google/Bing Satellite & Neighborhood Views, State sales & deed info etc. With the internet age the best you can really hope for is to manage & control what is shown & how. Total removal really isn't possible anymore. It would take a major public policy shift as well as legislation and even then it might not be possible to put the genie back in the bottle. It's a blessing & a curse how available & accessible all this data is depending upon how you look at it. Over the next year you'll also see several more ventures that will have even more data & details available.
Hope that helps,
