"I think that you have to have your realtor find out the information on what is owed on the property.  Perhaps the listing agent might know.  I'm not sure if public record would show the mortgage balance.
The public records should give some light as far as what is owed tax wise on the property."

The mortgage amount is public record. You can get it from the tax assessors office or like Mike said have it pulled by your real estate agent.

Are you asking for the information regarding the current loans/liens on a specific property? Usually this information can be found our from your Real Estate Agent. They will be able to pull up a property profile that should have this info.
