Hi Desuz,

If you looking to find out what you are house is appraised at you need to hire and Appraiser to get a current Appraisal.

If you want to know what your Assessment is you need to go to the county's website and and look up your Tax Assessment.

If your looking for the Current Market Value of you house you need to look up a Realtor to compare comparable sold properties in you neighborhood to help you.

There is a difference between the three.

Good Luck,
Zisis

Appraisers use the direct sales comparison approach using the most similar, the most recent and most proximate sales to your home's attributes and amenities to determine market value.

If you get with a Realtor that specializes in your neighborhood, they can give you an idea of the market value or what your home could appraise for.

Or, if you have a "cookie cutter" home, that is to say you live in a neighborhood that has many homes that were all built in a similar year, floor plans and amenities, websites like Zillow can be useful.

Today's market has many areas that are full of distressed sales.  These affect value.  Having said that, regular sales are preferable and should be given more weight for value determination than distressed sales, all things being equal.

The only true way to find the appraised value would be to hire a professional appraiser who is familiar with your area.

I miss understood the question, but the best way to tell is to have a professional appraiser do an appraisal of your property.

Best thing to do is to visit a Real Estate office near you, consult with an agent that handles your area, ask for comparable within the area.
