how do I release a home

Did he receive it as part of a divorce settlement? If so, your lawyer should have handled the deed paperwork. The type of deed (quitclaim, grant, bargain and sale, etc.) will depend on your state's laws.

A phone call to a title cpompany may help, but they can't give legal advice.
