The best option is to go to Yahoo Real Estate, and then go to Home Values ( on top, next to find a realtor) --- input your home address, and you get the zillow home value of your home as well as the eppraisal.com value of your home, between the two numbers, I find that you are usually with 10% of the actual value of your home.

The other option is to ask a real estate agent for a CMA ( Comparative Market Analysis) of your property, most will willingly oblige and that is usually more accurate than Zillow or eppraisal.

Hope this helps.

Hi blanca13-

Are you referring to the Zestimate value? If yes, just enter the address on the "find homes" tab and it will give you the home information with a Zestimate. You may also enter the city and state or the zip code of the area you want to search and just zoom in to see the home information and the Zestimate.

Additionally, not all homes on the website have a Zestimate. There are some properties that do not have Zestimate values because we do not have the home transaction history. This is possibly because the home is in a "non-disclosure" state (Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, Wyoming) where transactions are not publicly reported.

If the home is not in those states, it might be that we have the tax assessed value and home information from local public records, but we do not have sales transactions from our data providers for the area.

Please note that the Zestimate is not the actual price and also not an appraisal. It is just a starting point in figuring out the true value of a house.

We do not offer the Zestimate as the basis of any specific real-estate-related financial transaction. It is still best if you will get an official appraisal that it will include the specific improvements you made for your property.
