The Sun Belt continues to be hit the hardest, particularly Phoenix and Las Vegas which were the worst performers for the month, dropping 3.4 percent and 3.3 percent respectively. As for the year, prices in Phoenix fell a whopping 33 percent. Las Vegas followed closely with a 32 percent plunge in prices.

There are several different "values" to a home, depending upon what you are doing. From the number of questions that appear on Zillow, it appears that most people asking the question here are either just wondering about the value of their homes, or thinking of selling. There are really three opinions regarding the value of a home that matter:
1) Your opinion - what you think your home is worth
2) Agent's Opinion – what the agent thinks you should list for
3) Buyer's Opinion – what a buyer is willing to pay for your house
4) Appraiser's Opinion – what an appraiser will tell the bank the house is worth
The most important is the Buyer's Opinion. If you think your house is worth $500k, and you offer it for sale, and the buyers think it is worth $450k, it will never sell. The true market value of your home is what someone buys it for.
If you are just wondering about the market in your area, please visit my profile, and check out the About section for an excellent way to get market date about your home. If you are really thinking of selling, you need to speak to an agent, who can prepare a much more precise price analysis. Good luck!

Zestimates are easy to find. Just go here. Type your address in the empty box at the top of the page and hit the blue GO button. You should see a map and a value for your house if Zillow has it listed.
A local Realtor in the area can also give you more information about your market if you are considering buying or selling soon. Zillow is not an appraisal, but it is a great place to start getting information about values in your area. Hope the link helps.
