there are also "flat fee" real estate companies who will place it on the MLS for you for a fee. In reality, you are still listed by owner but you are on the MLS. Best of luck to you

Hi Wayne! Nicole from Zillow's Listing Support here! If you wanted to add the MLS number to your listing when you go to the listing page go to Edit button at the bottom of the listing description, then click on the Edit Listing Info link. There is a section for MLS #. :)
Please let me know if you have any other questions for me!
Thank you

As Wayne is in Auburn, WA, which is covered by the NWMLS, he simply needs to list the home with a NWMLS member.
The NWMLS is not owned or operated by NAR, which is one of the reasons why it is such a progressive listing service, and NWMLS members are not required to be a part of the National Association of Realtors.

You have to belong to the MLS (Realtor Association) or contract with a Realtor to do that for you. Best of luck on your sale.
