We currently rent our home and may be able to buy it, but the previous owner died hhere and had the built this home in the 1960's on the land he owned. Would like to know value of land and home.

A local Realtor can help you with all of your questions. They will check county records, and run a list of the homes recently sold in your area.

A Realtor can help you with the values, but you can go to http://www.assessment.state.tn.us/ for your current tax info.

Call a REALTOR and ask for a CMA.  You may be able to find someone who will assist you in negotiating the transaction for a flat fee or small % of the puchase price.  You will also want to be preapproved by a lender before you get too far into the process.

You can generally find available tax information on the county assessor's website or call them and ask for it.
