In Texas we are a non-disclosure state on the sales price of houses. I have been told that zillow relies on information from our tax appraisal districts and does not have access to the sold price data from our Multiple Listing Service. The tax appraisal values are always much lower than our market values. It is common for the Zestimates to be much lower than our For Sale or the actual final Sold price of a home. Zillow is a great tool, but just know going in that their Zestimates will always reflect a much lower price than where the market currently is at. At this time, I don't believe there is a way to correct or change the valuations.

Sure, CLAIM the home, then EDIT the facts. Updated facts may change the Zestimate for the upside, but will take a few weeks to kick in.

Zestimates are only estimates, not facts. Deviations between similar or same units within a condo building are built into the Zillow algorithim, and change and/or flipflop over time. Check back at a later date and youll probably see the values inverted...

Really, there is nothing you can do, but hope that your complaint will gather some eyes from Zillow. They take local data and compile what they feel is the correct evaluation for the property. With different sizes, you will probably see errors in the actual valuation. You have to remember, the valuation is tabulated by computers, not by licensed agents/professionals.

how do you correct a zestimate
