There is a property that I would like to purchase and clean up/restore.  I cannot find out any info on it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Who owns it?
Rumor has it that a school district owns it but thats just the neighbors talking?  Property Address: 144 Big Chief Dr. Gun Barrel City, Tx. 75156

thanks in advance for any help!!

tdsmithh - Every state has different methods for looking this up.  In my state (MA), you can look up that information through the Registry of Deeds, which is very convenient as I can access any county's registry online.  I can also access public records via my MLS.  In RI (my neighboring state), the records are kept at the town/city level and you'd need to check with the Town Clerk or Tax Assessor.

Good Luck,
/rc

The owner is Ela Mae Duncan and it looks like it's a manufactured home.  There is no published phone number so you may want to write her a letter or stop by and ask if she's interested in selling.

Yes...you can certainly find it on tax records. It's super easy. Just look for the city governement site to find it. It's that easy. Thanks
