Like Sunnyview, I agree. Homes in Florida are typically minimalistic on the storage as compared to Northern Homes with attics and basements. A closet  is desirable in any room to add much needed storage places.

Like sunnyviews says...

Here in Prescott, AZ, if a bedroom has no closet...it's a bonus room or office...appraisal goes way down...removing a closet has cost sellers I know $10k in an appraisal.

:) PS

What I meant to say was a den without a closet is a den. With a closet is becomes a bedroom that will add value to an appraisal. Sorry about that.

Well they are a feature. A den without a closet is a den with a closet it is a bedroom so it would add value to your appraisal. Most people like closets as a functional feature. If two houses are equal, one has good storage (closets) one doesn't or has minimal storage, the buyer will often choose the house that has the storage space available. Are you thinking about adding closets to part of your home or taking them away to use as other space like a bigger bathroom or something?
