how does one "claim" a listing?

I am looking at one of the listings and it won't let me contact an agent or post a comment until I claim the listing?  What does all that mean?

That's wrong. Either there's a bug somewhere, or you're doing something wrong. Only the owner, or a listing agent should be claiming a listing. Not a buyer.
