The free home value reports are a great starting place for getting an idea of how much your house is worth, but there are obviously many factors at play in determining an actual house value that the computer doesn't know.

I suggest consulting a local agent to really figure out how much your house is worth because they know your local market much better than the internet sites. Here's a great article I found that weighs the pros/cons of using the internet or an agent:

Please only use Zillow as a ballpark estimate of the value of your home. There are too many environmental and market variables that determine the value of a home. These are the kind of elements that cannot be extrapolated using the number crunching methods of Zillow. There are many nuances to valuing a home.

If you are interested in selling, ask around to friends and co-workers for a reference for a qualified real estate agent.

You can type in your address on the front page www.zillow.com in the empty box next to the "Find homes" menu and hit the blue GO button. A map and value will come up for your house if Zillow has one available. Hope it helps.
