how often do street views get updated?

I may sell my house soon. My street views are 4+ years old and don't reflect current curb appeal. how often do you, or how should I update these views.

Street views come from google maps. While they appear to have started driving around again and updating, I've not seen a schedule.  (It took several years last time they did it).

Therefore, the simplest approach is to claim your home on Zillow and upload your updated photos.   That will make sure only the top quality photos are shown, rather than the luck of the draw with street view.  (Photos in a rain/wind storm with the trash cans blown over are ones I'm dealing with!)
