how true that you can use the $8000 stimulus package for closing cost where in my broker do not know where to get it. what agency do i need to contact regarding this matter. my closing date will be on october.

Hi Magikero123,
Yes, there ARE lenders right now in PA who in conjunction with PHFA will front up to $6000 I believe. A list of approved lenders for your area can be found at http://www.phfa.org/applications/participatinglenders.aspx

but you still need to come up with 3.5% down payment if going FHA financing. Hope this helps!

Your lender needs to agree on using $8000 towards closing cost. As far as I know in Northern Virginia we don't have many lender who wants to take this up...
