This is a tough to answer being that everyone has different opinions/standards. It would definitely be beneficial to contact the local authorities and ask for crime statistics for this area AND the surrounding areas to make a logical evaluation.

Very difficult to pinpoint by smaller community specific crime statistics, as most statistics that are readily available are tracked by city and/or zip code.  You can check city-data.com for more information.
