There are many good lenders right here on Zillow. You can get a loan quote by entering all your basic info. I am sure there are some in your area right here on Zillow. You can also check out the Zillow directory.

Good Luck

Are you still looking?  I recently came across your queary and know if you have not found a lender, I can help.  The person I use is wonderful, does the underwriting within his office, and is in Maine.  I cover your area as well.  Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information.

I can refer you to an excellent loan officer if you would be interested.

Take a look at:
www.mtgprofessor.com

I would go with an "upfront" lender or broker listed on that site.  www.Amerisave.com may be a good choice.

Also credit unions often have low rates and "lender related" fees.

Lisa is right,
First the place you do banking is a good place. The already know a lot about you.
Second place, ask for referrals with your coworkers. People like to talk about Mortgage Consultants and Realtors.
Don't be afraid to ask! One technique I learn from a Contractor friend is to look for an old yellow pages book, let's say 5 years. Look for Mortgage Consultants, if the phone number is still working, he could be a good one.

Also, look for First Time Home buyers classes in your area...and take them!

There are many lenders out there.  I would recommend you start with your bank.
