I would recommend Angie's List, I used to belong, but they've more than doubled their membership fee which is just outrageous.  I hear that Lowe's has an excellent service that can even show you what your home would look like with the repairs done--you may check there.

Good luck!  I've always relied on personal recommendations for contractors and trades--ask around to anyone you know and trust for who they would or have used!

Hi mzoy,
Do you have an actual list of repairs?  Sometimes a remodeling contractor with a general contractor's license is a good choice if the repairs are varied throughout the house and garage. If you know of only a few things like roof and water heater for instance; then you can contractors from those specific trades to come out and give bids. Heating and AC repairs are typically exclusively done by licensed professionals in that field.
I obviously like to have people get a thorough home inspection that can be used as an informative guide for assessing and prioritizing the repairs to a home.
Make sure you get three bids, no matter what, Make sure your contractors are licensed, experienced and qualified to even make a bid!
