if I own a home can my husband qualify for a fha if its in his name?

We need a bigger house but there are not many loans to help us out. I bought my home on my own before we were married so its still in my name. If we moved could we still get a fha loan in his name

Sure can and he may qualify for some grant money.

Would need to know a little more information, but it shouldn't be a problem.  If you have additional questions, please email me.

Thanks,

Patty

My advice is to speak with a lender that will work out all scenarios including any Illinois special programs for you and your husband.

I do not see why not, but you need to contact a few lenders to see your options. There are other low cost options other than FHA. The State of Il has a down payment assistance plan, even though they are broke. My web site has some lender references.
