There are lots of reasons that might happen that have little to do with the house, but I would ask about previous inspections done by other buyers before paying for a new one and would ask your agent if there are comps to support the listing price that have sold in the last 2-3 months.

Those two things can be sticking points for houses that pop on and off the market, but there are lots of other reasons too so ask your agent to look into it for you.

The reasons could be endless.  If you have a Realtor, they can look into it and see the history on it.
