You have options.  Manage it yourself:
* place an ad on www.craigslist
* place an ad on www.vrbo.com

Or hire a local leasing agent.  Or, if you have a condo and there is onsite management, that's usually the best route to go.

That's what I recommend to my clients who are considering leasing their properties.

As Bob said, check out the rules of your homeowners association first, then check your city hall for rules on rentals.  Many cities are now requiring inspections of rental properties, and have guidelines for you to follow.

After that, then you can determine what rents to ask, etc.

Call the association and ask them if it is allowed and what paperwork is required.
Then ask your Realtor to do a rental analysis for you and discuss it with them.
