Sometimes yes. Sometimes a regular sale can be cheaper in the long run, if the foreclosure needs a lot of work.

Also remember when purchasing a foreclosed property, they are usually sold "AS IS".  Meaning the foreclosing bank will not make any repairs.  I would suggested, like a few others have, to work with a buyers agent, who will work in your best interest.

You might get a foreclosed property cheaper, but always take into consideration repairs that might need to be done.

Best of luck.

The home you mention does not appear to be on the market at this time.   Please work with a buyer's agent for help in navigation of the adventures of purchasing foreclosures.

We suggest that you contact a Buyer's Agent (whose commission is paid by the Seller) to assist you in looking at this home and a few others, as you choose.  You need a loan pre-approval before you/your Buyer's Agent can make an offer.  We suggest that you meet with a loan officer at a local bank to obtain a pre-approval.
