The cutoff date HUD uses to provide loans is after June 15th 1976.
The reason is that homes manufactured after that date were built to a higher standard. Homes older than that date may prove to also be uninsurable as insurers use the same cutoff date.
If you are moving the home to a mobile home park, check whether they would allow an older mobile home. If the park doesn't have rules, there may be rules in the municipality where the home is to be moved.
You will also want to make sure the home is structurally sound before moving.
