James,  your assessment does not make sense.  Total assessment for this property (according to the property tax ID) is $460,000.

If your property details are missing some of your additions, you can claim the home and add them in.   Over the next few weeks (perhaps 8 or so), the Zestimate will reflect these changes.

Zestimates don't take into account things such as trek decks, awnings, Anderson windows, chain link fence, large driveways etc but if you use the "owner's estimate" these features can be incorporated.

With all that work your new assesed value is now 950k and you get to start paying property taxes on that amount 1/1/2011!
Strange question I never saw anyone that wanted their property taxes raised.

Hi juhasz,

Zillow draws information for each property from public records.  To get a better snapshot of the market around you, you could contact a local realtor who can show you the listings that are active, on conditional contract, pending and sold within the last 6 months.  A good CMA (Comparative Market Analysis) will show your comparable properties right down to the elementary school where your property is located.
