You can use Zillow's Mortgage Calculator: How much can I afford?  to get a basic idea. But speaking with a loan originator will be your best bet.

Mike,

You need to speak with a mortgage lender, there is simply no way anyone can answer your question on Zillow. When a loan officer speaks with you they will be looking at 3 things:

Your credit score.

Your assets, in other words how much cash do you have on hand and can you put into the deal. How much do you earn?

Your income to debt ratio – how much if any do you owe on things like credit cards, school loans, etc.

The combination of all three of the above will determine how much you would qualify for. Once you have this answer you're ready to speak to a Realtor.

Good Luck.

Hi Mike-

I would recommend you speak to a loan officer. Ask some of your friends, relatives, co-workers for a referral.

There are many things that factor into "what you can afford".....how much of a down payment do you have, how much debt do you have, how much are the real estate taxes, etc..
