through ill health have been paying interest only through my parttime job cant do full time and am 64 this year is there anything more i can do apart from selling home i still oowe 55 thousand house worth 115 thousand help to old to move but if i have to then so be it also live on my own

Dear Helen2013,

You may want to consider a reverse mortgage. You may be able to do so even with an outstanding mortgage balance. If you have that much equity available in the home the reverse mortgage may be a good option to consider.

The other option would be to try & an get another loan on the home. With that type of equity & with interest rates low you may be able to secure a home loan that you can deal with. I do recommend trying to utilize a local mortgage company - they tend to offer better & more personal customer service.
