We have been turned down on our remodification.  The lender said that it is because we owe too much money.  However, he did not ask the right questions and he did not verify most of our loans to othere bankis have been paid off, or will be paid off on the first of June,

If its not on shown on your report as paid off at the time of the pull then in their eyes its not. The bureaus report every 15th of the month. Call the banks and get letters showing they are paid off, fax them to the bureaus and have them correct it. Or you can wait till they do it themselves.

They just pull your credit report........they don't ask questions about what has recently been paid off!

Reapply for a mortgage when your debt is lower.
