piggyback options still available?

Profile picture for brosher
Are any lenders still offering these?  I would like to do a first mortgage for $417k and then a second for the balance of my loan.  Houses we are considering are valued $450-$520k.  We can put 5-10% down payment, 760+ scores, good income and debt ratio.

"Piggybacks" are rare, indeed.  But I can assure you that they are available in the Washington, DC Metro area.

Piggyback loans are hard to find. With 5% to 10% down you should look at options with PMI and with Lender Paid PMI.  LPMI will incorporate the PMI into the rate so you will not have a monthly PMI payment. The payment should come out better than paying the mortgage with a pmi payment.

Being in NY, you should call Chris:
