The broker is just the person in charge of the agents at the office (at least in Washington).
They may or may not be better than your agent.

All licensed real estate agents must hang their license with a broker. The broker is responsible to make sure that all transactions are compliant with the law. Even if they have nothing to do with the transaction, they are still at the same, or even more, risk as the agent. Therefore all listings beling to the broker. In this case , it sounds like the broker is stepping in to give you the service you deserve.
You might ask to have another agent assigned to your property.

Real Estate Agents vs. Brokers
The difference between a real estate agent and a real estate broker pretty much boils down to experience. A real estate agent must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma, have completed an accredited real estate exam licensing course, have passed a real estate licensing exam, be sponsored by a licensed real estate broker, and provide proof of errors and omissions insurance. In addition to these requirements, a broker must complete additional course work, have been an actively licensed real estate agent for at least two years, and pass the broker licensing exam. You can check whether a particular agent or broker is licensed in good standing by checking with your state's real estate licensing board.

In California, all it takes to become an agent is to pass an online Principles of Real Estate class and then score a 70 on the state test. It's no wonder we are so distrusted, our standards are way to low.

Well in New York it takes 45 hours of class room teaching, passing a test, then the state test of 70, then once you get your licenses you need to continue with education of 22 hours every 2 years to keep your licenses, but that still dose not weed out the bad from the good. I personal think they should raise the amount of the fees. that should keep them away.. LOL
but serious. The broker may have decided that if you were unhappy then she would be the best to handle it.. you also have a right to get who ever you wish to handle your sale.. aske question, interview go to some open houses and see how that agent conducts him/her self..
Good luck..
