I do a lot of business around there. All depends on what your budget is and what you are looking for. Town house - 250K+ Columbia, Odenton, Crofton, Laurel (Howard and AA county), Millersville. Single family - 325K+ - All the above, and Ellicott city, severna park, arnold.

Actually, we currently live in NJ. I was looking at homes near Catonsville, when I decided to ask the question about neighborhoods near Fort Meade. (I'm a little new at this forum thing, so forgive me). My husband has done quite a lot of work in Linthicum, but I was concerned about BWI airplane noise. Thanks for the input. :)

If you now live in Catonsville you're not that far away. I live in southeastern Baltimore county and commuted to Ft. Meade for 5 years. The only place I would be looking would be Linthicum.
safe towns near Fort Meade?
We will be relocating to the Fort Meade area and are interested in buying a a home that we can park our 25" RV on our property. What areas are safe for a family of 4 (children aged 6 and 8), and what are trouble areas, or areas to stay away from? We are looking in the$300-$400K range. Any advice would be helpful. thanks.
