Check with a local Realtor. Although a Realtor and easily tell you if your house is listed for sale, they may not immediately know if your house is currently in the foreclosure process. Be sure to ask them if they will be able to verify that foreclosure is not imminent.

It is pretty easy to find out for you, so I am guessing you have an answer already. FYI in California the residence is required to be posted with a notice of sale 3 weeks prior to foreclosure auction date.
