There is an option for you, as the homeowner, to claim your "listing" and edit the home facts. What you add/change in the home facts will have an impact on the Zestimate. In my experience, the Zestimate is based on public records which do not always have the most up to date information on improvements and recent comparable sales. The information you enter should help Zillow provide the most accurate Zestimate possible. The bottom line is if you are looking for the accurate current market value of your home, you should consult a real estate expert. Hope this helps!
