the listing for 901 Bromfield in San Mateo, CA was cancelled last summer in the MLS.

You are still showing it ACTIVE.  Don't understand why you can't get your data correct. And this is causing my client problems.  Please update your system and see what you can do to improve your overall quality.  As agents we have to spend a lot of time explaining to our clients that your data is inaccurate, untimely, and essentially unreliable.  it's very annoying and a waste of our time.  If you want to have a decent [product, get it right for cryin' out loud.

Hi Deb -

Wetdawgs is right. We receive the feeds from other website. Once canceled from the listing website, it will also be canceled in Zillow.

I have canceled the listing in Zillow. You can email me or reply to this thread of you still need help.

Thank you.

Neil

As info...we don't tell anyone where to put anything.  It's all you guys pulling or accepting listing data.  I went online and checked ALL of the other sites and yours is the ONLY one that still shows it active.  Everyone else shows it either cancelled or off market or whatever language they choose to use.

So, honestly, I believe your model is sub par and faulty.

We are going to call our contact at OBEO tomorrow to see what they say.  I mean, they are essentially a photo shop where we store pictures.  That's it.  The fact that you are using OBEO as your source is very odd to me.

I will get back to you.

The choice of where Obeo feeds is up to the agent/broker.  Zillow doesn't "pull" but instead Obeo pushes to the places of the agent's choice.   The agents are responsible for the listing accuracy, although Zillow has increased the number of filters to make listings expire unless the listing party actively renews the listing because there are so many forgotten feeds.

Zillow does not syndicate with most MLSs, although last I read it is 300 of 900 MLSs, a tremendous increase in the last year.

You can always find the feed source (controlled by the agent/broker) for a property on Zillow by opening the home details page and scrolling all the way to the bottom.

So you pull from OBEO and not MLS??  OBEO is a secondary source.  I think you are using OBEO because it allows you to show more inventory as active.  We often keep our OBEO feed alive because people still like to look at the tours.  But whatever.

Hi Deb:  The reason that it is still showing active on Zillow is because there is still an active Obeo feed to Zillow.  Here's a link.

The agent/broker needs to cancel the feed from Obeo to inactivate on Zillow and possibly other sites.
