When Zillow rolled out the new alogrithm June 13, there were some crazy values such as the one you describe. I've heard that they have a team working hard to identify the cause of these spikes (and other issues). I have not heard of any time line for the roll out of the improved improved version.
there is no direct contact but something is clearly wrong with the new way you estimate past price
My property is correctly appraised at about 350,000. It's top appraisal price according to the past way zillow computed it was about 650 which seems fair.
However now, zillow states it was worth 4 million at its peak. This is way way off and way way off for the 94608 zip code (price history for the zip code seems correct). So there is a mistake somewhere in the computations.
