value of property

Can you tell me the price paid for property at 406 Katy Lane, Englewood, OH by my parents, Janes and Mary Jane Allison, and date they bought the home.

They are both deceased and I need to know this info in order to file my Federal Income Tax. They did a Quick Claim Deed in 2003 to the 4 children,,,,,,of which I am one of them.

OK...James and Mary Allison bought this home 6/18/1987 for $59,000. I have a copy of the deed. Give me your email address and I will email it to you. On the deed, there is a transfer tax stamp of $118.00. Back in 1987, the tax stamp fee was $2 per $1000 which makes the sales price $59,000!

Thanks Tom. I know that but need info when they bought the house in l987.

Also my CPA tells me that the 4 of us have to pay Federal taxes on the difference when my parents bought the house in l987 and when we sold it in 2007.....the IRS tells me on the phone (two different times) that the dates we use are when the Quick Claim Need was made in 2003 and when it was sold in 2007. IF you can help, appreciate it.
